Can you believe there are 13 days between now and Thanksgiving?!
13 days until we get together with family for fellowship and food, and reflect on the things we’re thankful for in our lives. I decided that between now and Thanksgiving I will post every week day (no weekends) on something I’m thankful for. The posts will be short and sweet, but it’ll be good for me to focus on these things more and less on the things I don’t have.
I’m in the 2-week-wait by the way… so there’s that.
I’m thankful for my marriage. My husband keeps life very interesting and entertaining. His obsession with Rubik’s cubes is pretty intense (he’s never met one he couldn’t solve). We split household responsibilities, he’s patient with Zoey when I can be high strung, he keeps us balanced. I can truly say that I am married to my best friend and it’s not cliche. It’s real. We’re a team in all aspects, from how we make major life decisions to how we raise and discipline Zoey. We’re always on the same team. For that, I am thankful. It breaks my heart to read about and hear about so many other marriages where the scale is so uneven… decisions are made behind each other’s backs, there is this battle of who is the head of the house, there is no unity.
