One of my favorite things about blogging is the relationships that I get to make with readers and other bloggers. It isn’t too often that I get the honor of meeting someone in person from the blog world, but when I do, it’s a real treat!
On September 22, I got the opportunity to have lunch with Logan from WithGreatExpectation.com while she was visiting family in Nashville. This is the 2nd time Logan and I have met (the first time she was pregnant with baby Bonnie!), and we returned to the same lunch spot as last time: Thai Phooket! There’s nothing quite like spicy pad thai to bring two people together.
I could not get over miss Bonnie! She was just precious and I loved talking to her and making her smile. I don’t think she was too impressed with the sunshine outside, haha! But she was such a delight to have lunch with. I really miss having a baby girl her age!
Aside from sharing my experience with Logan, the purpose of this post is to encourage you to go out and connect with other women who can relate to what you’re going through. While our internet friendship formed a couple of years ago, Logan and I now have a life-long friendship thanks to blogging, and really, thanks to PCOS. Even though PCOS is not fun to live with, just knowing you’re not alone (like, REALLY knowing) makes it worth it when you make new friends like Logan. As we’re closing on PCOS Awareness Month, make sure you reach out to other women who are struggling with the same thing as you. You can lift each other up, cheer each other on, and form new friendships. I often hear that infertility causes a rift in old friendships, which is very sad… but the beauty is there are new ones to be made. If you don’t know where to start – start with Logan and me! We’d love to talk to you.
Logan, I’m so thankful that we got this brief time to visit each other! Bonnie is beautiful and I’m so thankful to know you! I can’t wait to hear more about how God is moving in your life.
