Disclaimer: I received a free pair of LuLaRoe leggings in exchange for this honest review. However, this review is just that: honest. All opinions are my own and not influenced one way or the other.
Before I ever held a pair of LuLaRoe leggings in my hand, my opinion was mixed. I had seen many women sporting them, swearing they were the best things ever. I’ve never been a big fan of printed leggings on myself. I think they look fine on other people, but they just weren’t for me. The only LuLaRoe leggings I ever saw were loud prints, so that was automatically a deterrent to me. I was also thinking this whole LuLaRoe craze was just that – a craze – just another trend that would come and go, and surely was only popular because everyone wouldn’t quit talking about it. I was intrigued and wanted to try them, but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend $25 on a pair of leggings I may not like, so I just held back. I thought I was happy with my $7 Walmart leggings and $12 Target leggings. I thought we were friends.
Then my sweet friend Melinda asked me if I had ever tried LuLaRoe and if I’d be willing to do a review on them in exchange for a pair. I was excited about this opportunity, but let her know that I really would prefer a solid color or a very muted print so that I could give them a truly honest review. I also knew I’d want a pair that I could wear all the time in the fall. ‘Tis the season for leggings and boots, right?! She picked out a lovely pair for me, and the rest is history. The second I pulled them up, my first thought was: “Oh, how I wish I had these when I was taking Follistim.” Thus, the birth of this review:
5 Reasons Why You Need At Least 1 Pair of LuLaRoe Leggings If You Are Battling Infertility
1. Crazy Stretchy for Fluctuating Weight and Bloat
Whether or not you are going through infertility treatment, conditions that cause infertility often come with bloat and abdominal discomfort. If you are going through treatment, it’s inevitable that you will experience bloat. Clomid and Follistim made me retain a lot of extra fluid in my abdomen as my ovaries swelled, and at the time I was stuck buying maxi skirts at Target because jeans were no longer an option. If only I had these leggings back then. Having PCOS means that I don’t ovulate regularly like normal women, but when I do, it’s a big deal… not just excitement, but my body really hurts and bloats as much as 5 lbs. These leggings make those days much more manageable.
Also, if you’re going through treatment, your obvious goal is pregnancy. These would totally fit well into pregnancy, which is a huge win for me. Investing in maternity clothes was the one turnoff for me in pregnancy because it makes me sad to spend so much money on clothes I don’t get to enjoy for years. These totally bridge that gap!
2. One-Size = No Guessing Size
These leggings come in a “one-size” (fits 00-12) and a “tall and curvy” (10-22) option, so it really is insanely easy to pick a size. I didn’t understand how one pair of leggings could work for such a broad size range, but now that I have felt a pair, I totally get it. They are super stretchy and yet retain their form.
3. Super Soft Material, Not The Cotton You’re Used To
When I first took the leggings out of the package, I literally said out loud “What is THIS?!” They’re so soft. So stretchy. They’re little magic fairy pants. I half expected Tinkerbell to come flying out of the package. They felt that good. I walked into my closet and felt my old leggings and scowled. So this is what the big deal is…
4. Gentle on Injection Sites
Part of the “jeans are not an option” issue in my Follistim days was the injection sites. Whether you’re dealing with injections in your belly (FSH injects) or backside (trigger shots, progesterone in oil, etc.), nothing is worse than having pressure on those bruised injection sites. I wore maxi skirts frequently at the time because of the injections and the frequent ultrasounds, but that was dead winter, ya’ll… I was cold. These leggings would have been nice. And unfortunately, my regular cotton leggings were horribly uncomfortable back then because they had bands at the top that dug into my tender belly. I honestly forget I am even wearing these leggings. I never feel them…
5. Stay in Place, Don’t Fall Down
My cotton leggings constantly roll down my belly… even now, 25 lbs lighter, they roll down my belly constantly. Or, they fall down my legs and I have to always pull them up. My jeggings are the WORST. But these actually stay in place, and because they are so gentle on my tummy, they are incredibly comfortable.
The Cons of LuLaRoe Leggings
I can’t give an honest review without cons if I notice some cons. It’s just not my thing. I want to be true and fair, so here goes:
- Cost: These are certainly more expensive than leggings from Target or Walmart. These aren’t the “buy every color” leggings you’re used to that fit every budget. They do cost more than what you’d normally spend, but I do have to say they are much better quality and more comfortable. These are definitely an investment that I think will outlast my old leggings.
- Only Available Through Consultant: I really like being able to feel clothing before I invest, so I can see where this would be a turnoff for people unless you are able to attend a party. Also, not being able to try them on first if you don’t have direct access to a consultant… that is something I very much prefer because of sizing issues. However, the pro is because these come in such broad sizes, it should be a little easier for you to determine which size is best. If you don’t have access to a consultant, I can hook you up with Melinda.
Those are honestly the only two cons I could come up with. That’s it. I truly fell in love with these leggings the second I felt them, and have been in love ever since. I will definitely invest in some more in the future.

P.S. These leggings made me sing “glory, hallelujah!” on Thanksgiving day… they were so incredibly amazing that I was able to enjoy the explosion of culinary glory in complete comfort. If you can, get ahold of a pair before the Christmas gatherings begin! You won’t regret it!
