When FairHaven Health was looking for bloggers to review their DreamBelly Butter, I was intrigued. When I saw that it’s recommended for more than just a pregnant belly, I jumped right on board! After having Zoey, I was covered in stretch marks. Literally covered! From the boobs, down to my thighs, I looked like a pink striped peppermint and it was awful. Most of the marks hit once I was put on bedrest and had to keep the NST on 24 hours a day… I was no longer able to lather up with lotion because I had an itchy gel taking over my belly day and night. Thankfully over the years most of the marks have lightened up a lot, but they’re still there.
When I received the DreamBelly Butter in the mail, the first thing I noticed was the thickness of the product. Ya’ll, it’s extremely thick and creamy… and I LOVE that! I remember sticking my finger in it and just saying “Ahhhh this is awesome”. Some body butters out there just aren’t thick enough – they slap the “butter” title on the label and yet it’s still too thin. This at least lives up to the “body butter” title.
Next, I smelled it, because I mean, who wouldn’t? If you’re going to slather your body in a thick cream, you have to know it smells okay. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this really didn’t have a strong scent. It just smells clean, and well, pretty. I’m not even sure how to describe it, but I like it!
After the poking and smelling was over with, I decided to read the label, and I was happy to find that I could understand most of the ingredients.
Once I got the poking, smelling and reading down pat, I decided to use it. I slathered it on my belly and legs after showering, and it was really nice. Even though the product is thick, it doesn’t feel heavy when you rub it in. You don’t feel weighed down afterward, which I have with other body butters.
But, my favorite use for this product – hands and FEET. There is just something about belly products that is fantastic for feet! I’ve used cocoa butter on my feet, and now I use this DreamBelly Butter. It’s even healing – if I do a good foot soak and then slather this on, cover my feet with socks and go to bed, I wake up with new feet and angels singing. In the winter, when the back of my hands were so dry they were cracking, I used this product and it was phenomenal. You guys know I primarily use coconut oil for everything, but there was one point in the winter that I needed something more for my hands, and this product was my saving grace!
If I am blessed with pregnancy again, I WILL be using this product everywhere I have stretch marks. In the winter, I WILL be using this product to keep my skin hydrated and from cracking. Overall, I really love this product and I’m so glad I was able to try it and write about it.
AND, if you want to try it, FairHaven Health is offering you a 10% off code! In fact, you can take 10% off any of their pregnancy and nursing products. Just use bestwishes as your promo code and you’re good to go. If you try it, let me know what you think!
I loved this product and I’ll be bummed when I run out. But I have to say, I have plenty of excuses to buy more!
