Well, this is it!
The thing I’ve been talking about all year – I’m turning 30 this weekend!
It doesn’t bother me one bit to be turning 30, and this weekend won’t fall short of celebratory events to commemorate. I’ll be sure to post pictures next week.
Tonight, we’re having a few close friends and their kids over for a bonfire, which I am stoked about because it’s going to be the PERFECT WEATHER. After the rain moves out, we’re in for 55-60 degrees. It’ll be a little wet, but the grass is short, so who cares, right? 😉
Tomorrow, we’re going to the pumpkin patch, which is one of my favorite fall traditions! We go to the same one every year and while not much changes year after year, it’s still my favorite place to be in the fall. We’re in for sunshine and 60 degrees tomorrow, too!
Sunday… oh, Sunday. Sunday is my actual birthday! We’ll have church in the morning, a late lunch, and then we’re going to see Disney on ICE: Frozen that night! Zoey is going to FREAK OUT!
So, yes, 2/3 of my weekend will be consumed with kid-specific activities, but I’m thrilled to be able to ring in turning 30 with my little family of 3. Zoey may not have the sister she’s always dreamed of (yet), but she hasn’t let go of that hope. In fact, she has told me specifically: “God is done making my sister, she just has to come down from the clouds, and then she has a birthday after mine!”
Alrighty then! Spoken from the mouth of an innocent child.
I sure hope she’s right…
Have a great weekend!
